At the end of the Spring term, we celebrated the Car Challenge in a CARnival parade! Some of the children from year six helped the nursery children by pulling or pushing them in the karts or prams. The year three children waited to give key stage one a big cheer as we entered the large playground. The celebratory mood was helped by a break in a very rainy week; the sun broke through the clouds.

Each year group stood with their cars and presented them to all the other children; reception children waved their racing flags, and held on to their push and pull cars. It was enjoyable to see year one with their balloon cars; year two with the elastic band cars and year three and four with their electric circuit cars.

If you haven’t yet had the chance, spend some time looking at the displays along the central corridor. Year five and six controlled their cars through Bluetooth which you can see in motion by scanning the QR code on their display. Year two have written their design, making and evaluation books up on book creator. And there is more to read from other years by looking at all their displays too.
