Expanding Our French Skills - UKS2

This term, our Upper Key Stage 2 students have excelled in their French language studies, focusing on producing longer pieces of writing and expanding their vocabulary to include terms relevant to global discourse. Through the use of authentic resources such as French news articles, videos, and literature, students have applied their language skills in practical contexts, enhancing their understanding and fluency. With the upcoming Olympics, students have been particularly engaged in learning vocabulary and phrases related to sports, international events, and cultural exchanges. This has provided a timely and exciting context for their studies, making the language learning experience more dynamic and relevant. Additionally, students have been developing their speaking skills through group discussions, presentations, and role-playing exercises centred around the Olympics, which have significantly boosted their confidence and ability to communicate effectively in French.
