Athletes of Tomorrow

A Morden Mount child displays physical confidence, having honed their agility, balance, and coordination. They possess a thorough understanding of how these abilities influence their performance across various subjects. They demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with their peers and adapt to diverse sports activities, employing problem-solving skills and making well-informed decisions.

Throwing and Catching - Reeption

In Reception we have been practising throwing and catching. Here we are playing a warm up game before we move on to throwing the ball individually. The children used beanbags to practise throwing accurately and to be able to aim at a target. The warm ups involve lots of different movements. We played large group games, negotiating space and others. The more focussed exercises, of throwing and receiving at different levels and directions, are practised individually and in pairs.
